Hansen Medical, Inc. is engaged in the development and marketing of medical devices. The Company develops, manufactures and sells medical robotics designed for accurate positioning, manipulation and stable control of catheters and catheter-based technologies. Its technology is used in medical procedures that are reliant upon tools like guide wires, catheters, sheaths, balloons and stents. Its products include Sensei Robotic Catheter System (Sensei system), Artisan Extend Control Catheter (Artisan catheter), CoHesion 3D Visualization Module and Magellan Robotic System. Its Hansen Medical Solution consists of two modules: a physician control console and a patient-side module that can be connected to procedure tables. Physicians sit at control console outside the radiation field and use hands to control and navigate disposable catheters, which are attached to the patient-side module. Its catheters deliver third-party catheters and catheter-based technologies to specific sites.
