Description

Home Federal Bancorp, Inc. is a holding company for Home Federal Bank (the Bank). The Company�s business activity is the ownership of the outstanding capital stock of Home Federal Bank. The Bank is engaged in the business of attracting deposits from consumers and businesses in its market areas and utilizing those deposits to originate loans. It offers a range of loan products. Its residential real estate lending activities have been focused on first mortgages on owner occupied, one-to-four family residential properties. The Bank originates its one-to-four family residential loans for sale in the secondary market. Home Federal Bank has operations in three distinct market areas. On July 30, 2010, the Bank entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with loss sharing agreements with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to assume all of the deposits and certain assets of LibertyBank, a service commercial bank h (the LibertyBank Acquisition).
