Description

Heartland Financial USA, Inc. (Heartland) is a multi-bank holding company. As of December 31, 2011, Heartland had nine bank subsidiaries in the States of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Colorado and Minnesota the Bank Subsidiaries). The principal business of its Bank Subsidiaries consists of making loans to and accepting deposits from businesses and individuals. Its Bank Subsidiaries provide full service commercial and retail banking in their communities. Its subsidiaries include Dubuque Bank and Trust Company, Galena State Bank & Trust Co., First Community Bank, Riverside Community Bank, Wisconsin Community Bank, New Mexico Bank & Trust and Minnesota Bank & Trust. In July 2012, it purchased three retail banking offices from Liberty Bank, FSB in its Dubuque, Iowa market, through its subsidiary, Dubuque Bank and Trust Company. In December 2012, the Company purchased Heritage Bank, National Association, a Phoenix-based commercial bank.
