The Company operates its business in two segments: Industrial and Water Treatment. The Company�s Industrial Group operates this segment of its business, which specializes in providing industrial chemicals, products and services primarily to the agriculture, energy, electronics, food, chemical processing, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, medical device and plating industries. The Company�s Water Treatment Group operates this segment of its business, which specializes in providing chemicals, equipment and solutions for potable water, municipal and industrial wastewater, industrial process water and non-residential swimming pool water. On January 14, 2011, the Company acquired all of the assets of Vertex Chemical Corporation, Novel Wash Co. Inc. and R.H.A. Corporation, (collectively, Vertex).
