Description

Landec Corporation (Landec) designs, develops, manufactures and sells polymer products for food and agricultural products, medical devices and licensed partner applications that incorporate Landec�s polymer technologies. The Company has two polymer technology platforms: Intelimer polymers, and Hyaluronan (HA) biopolymers. Landec has four core businesses: Food Products Technology, Food Export, Hyaluronan-based Biomaterials and Technology Licensing. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Apio, Inc. (Apio), operates its Food Products Technology business, combining Landec�s food packaging technology with the capabilities of a large national food supplier and value-added produce processor. In Apio�s value-added operations, produce is processed by trimming, washing, mixing, and packaging into bags and trays that incorporate Landec�s BreatheWay membrane technology. In April 2012, Apio acquired GreenLine Foods, Inc. from The Riverside Company.
