eLong, Inc. (eLong) is a holding company. The Company is an online travel service provider in China. It, and with its subsidiaries and variable interest entities (VIEs), is engaged in the provision of travel services, including hotel reservation services, airline ticketing, and internet-related advertising in the People�s Republic of China, excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Through Expedia, Inc. and its affiliates, it also offers the ability to book rooms at over 150,000 hotels worldwide. eLong operates in two segments: Hotel and Air. Through its 24-hour toll-free call center, its Chinese and English language Websites, its iPhone and Android mobile applications, it provides its customers with travel information and the ability to book rooms over 28,000 hotels in over 700 cities across China, and air ticket reservations in cities across China. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company launched the eLong Mobile iPhone Application and the eLong Mobile Android Application.
