Mitel Networks Corporation is a global provider of business communications and collaboration software and services. The Company's Internet Protocol (IP), based communications solutions consist of a combination of IP telephony platforms, which it delivers as software, appliances and desktop devices, and a suite of unified communications and collaboration (UCC), applications that integrate voice, video and data communications with business applications. It also offers a hosted telephony service and a range of network services in the United State market. It also has designed its software and appliances to allow access to its solutions from mobile devices, including Apple, Android and BlackBerry. The Company operates three primary business units: Mitel Communications Solutions (MCS), Mitel NetSolutions (NetSolutions), and Other. In March 2013, it completed the sale of its DataNet CommSource business unit (DataNet) in Sioux Falls to EarthBend.
