The Company operates in three segments: The Photonics and Precision Technologies (PPT) Division, The Lasers Division and The Ophir Division. All of its divisions offer an array of advanced technology products and services to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and customers across a range of applications in all of its targeted end markets. In January 2012, the Company acquired ILX Lightwave Corporation (ILX). On December 29, 2011, it acquired substantially all of the assets of Opticoat SRL (Opticoat). In October 2011, it acquired Ophir Optronics Ltd. (Ophir). In July 2011, it acquired High Q Technologies GmbH (High Q).
