Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC) develops and markets environmentally beneficial products and services in over 55 countries either directly or through a network of joint ventures, independent distributors and agents. NTIC�s operates in two business segments: ZERUST products and services and Natur-Tec products. NTIC�s business is corrosion prevention marketed under the ZERUST brand. NTIC has been selling its ZERUST rust and corrosion inhibiting products and services to the automotive, agriculture, electronics, electrical, mechanical, military and retail consumer markets. It also sells a portfolio of bio-based and biodegradable (compostable) polymer resin compounds and finished products marketed under the Natur-Tec brand. During the fiscal year ended August 31, 2011, 95% of NTIC�s net sales were derived from the sales of ZERUST rust and corrosion inhibiting products and services.
