Description

Potlatch Corporation is a real estate investment trust. Through the Company�s wholly owned subsidiaries, it operates real estate sales and development business, and five wood products manufacturing facilities that produce lumber and plywood. It operates in three business segments: Resource, Real Estate and Wood Products. The Resource segment manages its timberlands. The business of its Real Estate segment consists primarily of the sale of selected non-core timberland real estate. Its Wood Products segment manufactures and markets lumber and plywood. The Resource segment�s management activities include planting and harvesting trees, and building and maintaining roads. The Real Estate segment engages in real estate subdivision and development activities through Potlatch TRS and also plays an active role in negotiations for all timberland acquisitions. The Wood Products segment manufactures and markets lumber and plywood at five mills located in Arkansas, Idaho, Michigan and Minnesota.
