Description

The Pantry, Inc. (Pantry) is an independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States. As of September 29, 2011, Pantry operated 1,649 stores in 13 states under a range of banners, including Kangaroo Express, its primary operating banner. The Company stores offer a range of merchandise, fuel and ancillary products and services. As of September 29, 2011, approximately 32% of its stores were located in coastal/resort areas, such as Jacksonville, Florida, Orlando, Florida/Disney World, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, St. Augustine, Florida, Hilton Head, South Carolina and Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi. As of September 29, 2011, approximately 24% of its stores were situated along interstates and highways. During the fiscal year ended September 29, 2011 (fiscal 2011), the Company�s merchandise sales were 21.9% of its total revenues. During fiscal 2011, its fuel revenues were 78.1% of its total revenues.
