PrivateBancorp, Inc. (PrivateBancorp) is a holding company of the PrivateBank and Trust Company (the Bank). The Bank provides business and personal financial services to middle market companies and business owners, executives, entrepreneurs and families in all the markets and communities it serves. As of December 31, 2011, the Company served seven geographic markets in the Midwest, as well as Denver and Atlanta. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 18 full-service branch locations in the Chicago market, 10 full-service branch locations in the Atlanta, Detroit, Kansas City, Milwaukee and St. Louis markets and five business development offices in the Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Des Moines and Minneapolis markets. It operates in three segments: Banking, Trust and Investments, and Holding Company Activities. As of December 31, 2011, it also owned 29 automated teller machines (ATMs) located at its banking facilities.
