Description

Reading International, Inc. (RDI) is an internationally diversified principally focused on the development, ownership and operation of entertainment and real property assets in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated in two segments: Cinema Exhibition, through its 57 cinemas, and Real Estate, including real estate development and the rental of retail, commercial and live theater assets. As of December 31, 2011, the Company�s principal assets included interests in 55 cinemas consisting of 462 screens; interests in four live theaters (the Union Square, the Orpheum and Minetta Lane in Manhattan and the Royal George in Chicago), and ownership of approximately 1.2 million square feet of developed commercial real estate, and approximately 15.6 million square feet of land. In November 2012, it announced the sale of its Indooroopilly property in Brisbane, Australia.
