The Company's core business is the Company's radio broadcasting franchise that is the radio broadcasting operation. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned and/or operated 54 broadcast stations located in 16 urban markets in the United States.The Company's primary source of revenue is the sale of local and national advertising for broadcast on its radio stations.The Company's other media interests include the Company's approximately 51% interest in TV One, LLC, a cable television network; its 53.5% interest in Reach Media, Inc. (Reach Media), which operates the Tom Joyner Morning Show; its interest in Interactive One, LLC, an online platform, and its interest in Community Connect, LLC (CCI), an online social networking company. The Company operates in four segments: Radio Broadcasting, Reach Media, Internet and Cable Television.
