Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (Red Robin) together with its subsidiaries, is a casual dining restaurant chain focused on serving gourmet burgers. As of December 30, 2012, the Red Robin system included 472 restaurants, of which 339 were Company-owned, and 133 were operated under franchise agreements with 19 franchisees. As of December 30, 2012, there were Red Robin restaurants in 42 states and two Canadian provinces.The Company�s menu features its signature product, the gourmet burger, which it makes from ground beef; and other sandwiches made from chicken breasts, fish filets, turkey patties, as well as vegetarian and vegan burger sandwich options. In June 2012, the Company�s wholly owned subsidiary, Red Robin International, Inc., acquired a Red Robin franchised restaurant in Clifton, N.J., from Parsippany, N.J.-based UBA Enterprises.
