S&W Seed Company (S&W) is engaged in breeding, growing, processing and selling agricultural commodities, principally alfalfa seed. The Company is a producer of warm climate, high-yield alfalfa seed varieties, including varieties that can thrive in poor, saline soils. The Company also offers seed cleaning and processing for other seed manufacturers. S&W owns a seed-cleaning and processing facility in Five Points, California. The property includes a total of 40 acres, including 35 acres that are in reserve for future development and five acres with permanent structures and three seed-processing lines. The Company's products are grown under contract by farmers in the San Joaquin and Imperial Valleys of California, Southern Australia as well as by the Company itself under a small direct farming operation. S&W is also focused on breeding improved varieties of stevia, improving its harvesting and milling techniques, and developing marketing and distribution programs for its stevia products.
