Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. is television broadcasting company. The Company owns or provides certain programming, operating or sales services to more television stations than most other commercial broadcasting groups in the United States. It owns, provides programming and operating services pursuant to local marketing agreements (LMAs) or provides sales services and other non-programming operating services pursuant to contracts to 149 television stations in 71 markets. The Company�s reportable operating segment is broadcast. Its broadcast segment includes its television stations and the four radio stations it acquired from Fisher Communications, Inc. The Company�s broadcast free over-the-air programming to television viewing audiences in the communities it serve through its local television stations. It produces news at 84 stations in 47 markets, including one station where it produces news pursuant to a local news sharing arrangement with a competitive station in that market.
