Origin Agritech Limited (Origin), is a technology-focused crop seed company serving mainland China. The Company�s activities include the specialization in the research and development, production, and sales and marketing of crop seeds (corn, rice, cotton, and canola) throughout the People's Republic of China (PRC). The Company operates 10 breeding stations, eight production and processing centers, and 13 marketing centers nationwide with sales centers located in key crop-planting regions. As of September 2012, the Company had 26 proprietary corn seed products, 19 proprietary rice seed products, seven proprietary cotton seed products and one proprietary canola seed products that are in commercial production and distribution. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2012, the Company�s main products include hybrid varieties of corn, rice and canola seeds, which represented 95% of its sales.
