Spartan Motors, Inc. is engaged in design, engineering and manufacturing in the heavy-duty, custom vehicles marketplace. The Company has three reportable segments: Emergency Response Vehicles, Delivery and Service Vehicles, and Specialty Chassis and Vehicles. Emergency Response Vehicles segment consists of the operations of its Crimson, Crimson Aerials, Classic Fire and Spartan-Gimaex subsidiaries (Spartan ERV) and the emergency response chassis operations of its Spartan Chassis subsidiary. It manufactures delivery and service vehicles through Utilimaster subsidiary which designs, develops, and manufactures products to customer specifications for use in the package delivery, one-way truck rental, snack delivery, utility, and linen/uniform rental businesses. The Company’s Specialty Chassis and Vehicles segment consists of the Spartan Chassis operations that engineer and manufacture motor home chassis, defense vehicles and other specialty chassis.
