Sport Chalet, Inc. (Sport Chalet) operates full-service, specialty sporting goods stores in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. As of March 29, 2009, the Company operated 55 stores. As of March 29, 2009, Sport Chalet had 33 locations in Southern California, eight in Northern California, two in Central California, three in Nevada, eight in Arizona and one in Utah. These stores average approximately 41,000 square feet in size. In addition, it has a retail e-commerce store at www.sportchalet.com. The Company’s prototype store is 42,000 square feet in size. Its stores feature a number of specialty sports and lifestyle categories. The stores include traditional sporting goods merchandise (footwear, apparel and other general athletic products) and core specialty merchandise such as snowboarding, skateboarding, mountaineering and self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA).
