Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (Skyworks) designs, manufactures and markets a range of analog and mixed signal semiconductors that enable wireless connectivity. Skyworks products include power amplifiers (PAs), front-end modules (FEMs) and integrated radio frequency (RF) solutions that can be found in many of the cellular handsets distributed. It also offers a portfolio of linear integrated circuits (ICs) that support automotive, broadband, cellular infrastructure, industrial and medical applications. The Company operates its product portfolio around two markets: mobile platforms and linear products. In June 2009, Skyworks announced the acquisition of Axiom Microdevices, a supplier of complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-based power amplifiers for mobile phones.
