Description

TransAct Technologies Incorporated (TransAct) is engaged in designing, developing, assembling, marketing and servicing transaction printers under the Epic, Ithaca and Printrex brand names. The Company's thermal, inkjet and impact printers generate transaction records, such as receipts, tickets, coupons, register journals and other documents, as well as printed logging and plotting of data. The Company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), value-added resellers (VARs), selected distributors, as well as directly to end-users. Through the Company's TransAct Services Group (TSG) the Company provides a range of supplies and consumables used in the printing and scanning activities of customers in the hospitality, banking, retail, gaming, government and oil and gas exploration markets. On August 19, 2011,TransAct completed the acquisition of Printrex, Inc.
