Trans World Entertainment Corporation operates retail stores and three e-commerce sites and is a specialty retailer of entertainment products, including video, music, electronics, trend, video games and related products in the United States. The Company owns 100% interest of Record Town, Inc., through which its principal operations are conducted. As January 29, 2012, the Company operated 390 stores totaling approximately 2.6 million square feet in the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. As of January 28, 2012, the Company operated 324 mall-based stores, predominantly under the For Your Entertainment brand (f.y.e), including f.y.e. stores. As of January 28, 2012, it operated 307 traditional mall based stores. f.y.e. stores average about 6,000 square feet and carried a complement of entertainment products, including video, music, electronics, trend, video games and related products.
