United Western Bancorp, Inc. (United Western Bancorp) is a unitary thrift holding company. The Company, through its principal subsidiary, United Western Bank is focused on expanding its community-based network across Colorado’s Front Range market and mountain communities. The Colorado Front Range area spans the eastern slope of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, from Pueblo to Fort Collins, and includes the metropolitan Denver marketplace, as well as certain mountain communities. During the year ending December 31, 2008, the Company had seven full service banking locations in the metropolitan Denver marketplace and a loan production office servicing the Aspen and Roaring Fork Valley market areas.
