Pet DRx Corporation (Pet DRx) is a provider of primary and specialty veterinary care services to companion animals through a network of veterinary hospitals. The hospitals offer a range of general medical treatment for companion animals, including preventative care, such as vaccinations, examinations, spaying/neutering, and dental care, and a range of specialized diagnostic and medical services, such as x-ray, ultra-sound, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, oncology, neurology and other services. The hospitals also sell pharmaceutical products, pet food and pet supplies. On January 4, 2008, the Company closed the merger transaction, pursuant to which a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company merged with and into Pet DRx Veterinary Group, Inc. (PVGI).
