Xinhua Sports & Entertainment Limited (XSEL), formerly Xinhua Finance Media Limited, is a media company in China focused on sports and entertainment. The Company has developed an integrated platform of advertising resources across television, Internet, mobile phones and other media outlets. The Company operates across two groups: Broadcast, which includes the sale of advertising and the consulting on content for and the distribution of its programming, through television and radio channels, as well as the media mobile value-added services that it provides to mobile phone users in China and Advertising, which includes its advertising agency that plans, creates and places advertising for Websites, television, print media, radio, campus billboards and outdoor media, as well as online advertising sales, its below-the-line marketing services. During the year ended December 31, 2009, XSEL discontinued its print business.
