NII Holdings, Inc. (NII Holdings) provides digital wireless communication services primarily targeted at meeting the needs of business customers through operating companies located in selected Latin American markets. The Company’s principal operations are in business centers and related transportation corridors of Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile. The Company uses a wireless transmission technology called integrated digital enhanced network (iDEN) technology, developed by Motorola, Inc., to provide its mobile services on 800 megahertz spectrum holdings in all of its markets.
