Nuveen New York Investment Quality Municipal Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from both regular federal and New York state income taxes by investing primarily in a portfolio of municipal obligations issued by state and local government authorities within the state of New York or certain United States territories. The Fund invests substantially all of its assets in a portfolio of tax-exempt New York municipal obligations, which are either covered by insurance guaranteeing the payment of principal and interest or backed by an escrow or trust account containing United States Government or United States Government agency securities to ensure timely payment of principal and interest. The adviser of the Fund is Nuveen Asset Management (NAM), which is the wholly owned subsidiary of Nuveen Investments, Inc. (Nuveen).
