AbitibiBowater Inc. is engaged in the manufacture of newsprint, coated and specialty papers, market pulp and wood products. The Company operates pulp, paper and wood products facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Korea. He Company has five segments: newsprint, coated papers, specialty papers, market pulp and wood products. It manufactures approximately eight million metric tons annually of a range of mechanical-based printing papers, newsprint, coated mechanical and mechanical specialty papers. These products are sold to publishers, commercial printers and advertisers. The Company also sells pulp that is not used in the production of its newsprint, coated and specialty printing papers to paper, tissue and toweling manufacturers.
