Description

CONSOL Energy Inc. is a producer of coal and natural gas for global energy and raw material markets, which include the electric power generation industry and the steelmaking industry. In addition, it provides energy services, including river and dock services, terminal services, industrial supply services, coal waste disposal services and land resource management services. The Company operates in two segments: Coal and Gas. The principal activities of the Coal unit are mining, preparation and marketing of thermal coal, sold primarily to power generators, and metallurgical coal, sold to metal and coke producers. The principal activity of the Gas division is to produce pipeline methane gas for sale primarily to gas wholesalers.
