Lorillard, Inc. (Lorillard) is a manufacturer of cigarettes in the United States. The Company’s Newport brand accounted for approximately 93.7% of its sales revenue for the year ended December 31, 2008. In addition to the Newport brand, its product line has five additional brand families marketed under the Kent, True, Maverick, Old Gold and Max brand names. These six brands include 44 different product offerings which vary in price, taste, flavor, length and packaging. In the United States and certain United States possessions and territories, it shipped 37.8 billion cigarettes in 2008.
