Telkom SA Ltd. (Telkom) is an integrated communications service provider offering bundled voice, data, broadband and Internet services to business and residential customers. The Company offers its customers fixed-line voice services, fixed-line and wireless data services and mobile communications services. It operates in four segments: fixed-line, multi-Links, mobile and other. The other segment includes Telkom’s Trudon, formerly TDS Directory Operations, and Africa Online, subsidiaries. Effective April 20, 2009, the Company concluded the disposal and sale of Vodacom, its mobile segment that provided mobile services through its 50% joint venture interest in Vodacom. In January 2009, the Company took 100% control of Multi-Links Telecommunications Ltd., and bought a further 25% stake in Multi-Links from Kenston Investment Ltd. In May 2009, the Company sold its 75% interest in Telkom Media (Proprietary) Ltd. to Shenzhen Media South Africa (Proprietary) Ltd.
