Description

Alabama Power Company (Alabama Power) is engaged in the generation, purchase, transmission and distribution of electricity in the State of Alabama. Alabama Power provides electricity supply service to 1.4 million homes, businesses and industries in Alabama. It is one of four United States utilities operated by Southern Company. It owns four power projects, namely Mississippi Power, Alabama Power, Georgia Power and Gulf Power. Alabama Power owns or operates approximately 80 electric generating units with total nameplate capacity of more than 13 million kilowatts. These generating units are located at approximately 24 facilities. The Company also provides bill payment services through its website. It also has a storm center that provides the service of restoring electric service.
