The Company purchases tobacco primarily in the United States, Africa, Europe, South America and Asia for sale to customers primarily in the United States, Europe and Asia. The Company deals in flue-cured, burley, and oriental tobaccos that are used in international brand cigarettes. The Company purchases, processes, sells, and stores leaf tobacco. Tobacco is purchased in more than 45 countries and shipped to more than 90 countries. The Company does not manufacture cigarettes or other consumer tobacco products. The Company processes tobacco in more than 50 owned and third-party facilities around the world, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Guatemala, India, Tanzania, the United States, Malawi, Thailand, Germany, Indonesia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
