Description
AmeriGas Partners, L.P. (the Partnership) is a holding company. The Company is a retail propane distributor in the United States. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2012 (fiscal 2012), the Partnership serves approximately 2.3 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and motor fuel customers in all 50 states from approximately 2,100 propane distribution locations. The Company conducts its business principally through its subsidiaries, AmeriGas Propane, L.P. (AmeriGas OLP) and Heritage Operating, L.P. (HOLP). In addition to distributing propane, the Partnership also sells, installs and services propane appliances, including heating systems. On January 12, 2012, the Company completed the acquisition of the subsidiaries of ETP that operated ETP's propane distribution business (Heritage Propane).
