Aleris Corporation (Aleris) is a holding company. The Company through its wholly owned subsidiary Aleris International, Inc. (Aleris International) manufactures and sales of aluminum rolled and extruded products, aluminum recycling and specification alloy manufacturing with locations in North America, Europe and the People�s Republic of China. The Company generates its revenues from the manufacture and sale of these products. As of December 31, 2010, the Company operated 41 production facilities worldwide, with 14 production facilities, which provided rolled and extruded aluminum products, and 27 recycling and specification alloy manufacturing plants. During the year ended December 31, 2010, approximately 51% of its revenues were derived from North America and the remaining 49% were derived from the rest of the world. It operates in three segments Rolled Products North America (RPNA); Recycling and Specification Alloys Americas (RSAA), and Europe.
