Description

Avery Dennison Corporation (Avery Dennison) is engaged in the production of pressure-sensitive materials, and a variety of tickets, tags, labels other converted products, and office and consumer products. Some pressure-sensitive materials are sold to label printers and converters that convert the materials into labels and other products through embossing, printing, stamping and die-cutting. The Company operates in two segments: Pressure-sensitive Materials and Retail Branding and Information Solutions. It also manufactures and sells a variety of office and consumer products, other converted products and items not involving pressure-sensitive components, such as binders, organizing systems, markers, fasteners and business forms. As of December 31, 2011, it operated approximately 200 manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide. During the year ended of December 31, 2011, the Company discontinued Office and Consumer Products operations.
