BlackRock Core Bond Trust (BHK) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide current income and capital appreciation. It seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 75% of its assets in bonds that are investment grade quality at the time of investment. Its investments will include a range of bonds, including corporate bonds, the United States government and agency securities and mortgage-related securities. It also invests up to 25% of its assets in corporate loans extended to borrowers by commercial banks or other financial institutions. Its portfolio includes non-government spread sectors, including commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities (MBS). It also has exposure to government-related sectors, including agency debt and agency MBS. The Trust's investment manager and adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.
