BlueLinx Holdings Inc. (BlueLinx) is a distributor of building products in the United States. The Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, BlueLinx Corporation, operates in all of the metropolitan areas in the United States and, as of January 3, 2009, it distributed more than 10,000 products to approximately 11,500 customers through its network of more than 70 warehouses and third-party operated warehouses. BlueLinx distributes products in two principal categories: structural products and specialty products. Its structural products include plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), rebar and remesh, lumber and other wood products primarily used for structural support, walls and flooring in construction projects. BlueLinx’s specialty products include roofing, insulation, specialty panels, moulding, engineered wood products, vinyl products (used primarily in siding), composite decking and metal products.
