Description

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. (BlueLinx) through its wholly owned subsidiary, BlueLinx Corporation, is a distributor of building products in the United States. As of December 29, 2012, the Company distributed approximately 10,000 products from over 750 suppliers to service more than 11,500 customers nationwide, including dealers, industrial manufacturers, manufactured housing producers and home improvement retailers. BlueLinx distributes products in two principal categories: structural products and specialty products. Structural products include plywood, oriented strand board, rebar and remesh, lumber and other wood products primarily used for structural support, walls and flooring in construction projects. Specialty products include roofing, insulation, specialty panels, moulding, engineered wood products, vinyl products (used primarily in siding), outdoor living and metal products (excluding rebar and remesh). In September 2012, it sold its distribution center located in Newark, California.
