Culp, Inc. (Culp) manufactures, sources and markets mattress fabrics used for covering mattresses and box springs, and upholstery fabrics primarily for use in production of upholstered furniture (residential and commercial). The Company has two segments: mattress fabrics and upholstery fabrics. The mattress fabric business markets fabrics that are used primarily in the production of bedding products, including mattresses, box springs, and mattress sets. The upholstery fabric business markets a variety of fabric products that are used in the production of residential and commercial upholstered furniture, sofas, recliners, chairs, loveseats, sectionals, sofa-beds, and office seating. Culp markets a variety of fabrics in different categories to its global customer base. The Company had 12 manufacturing plants and distribution facilities, as of April 29, 2012, which are located in North and South Carolina; Quebec, Canada; Shanghai, China, and Poznan, Poland.
