Description

Cigna Corporation together with its subsidiaries is a global health services company. The Company�s subsidiaries are a providers of medical, dental, disability, life and accident insurance and related products and services. It also offers Medicare and Medicaid products and health, life and accident insurance coverage�s primarily to individuals in the United States and selected international markets. For the United States based customers, the Company operates 18 service centers that together processed approximately 160 million medical claims. As of December 31, 2013, it operated 13 call centers, ten of which serve customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In its international health care business, the Company provides its 1.3 million customers around the globe with access to the Company�s health care provider networks and case management experts. It offers individual Medicare Supplement plans that provide retirees with federally standardized Medigap-style plans.
