Description

CARBO Ceramics Inc. (CARBO) is an oilfield services technology company. CARBO is a supplier of ceramic proppant, including resin-coated sand. The Company also provides fracture simulation software, and fracture design and consulting services. It offers a range of technologies for spill prevention, containment and countermeasures. The Company markets its products and services to operators of oil and natural gas wells and to oilfield service companies to help manage the production rates and the amount of oil and natural gas ultimately recoverable from these wells. The Company�s products and services are primarily used in the hydraulic fracturing of natural gas and oil wells. CARBO manufactures six ceramic proppants: KRYPTOSPHERE-H, CARBOHSP, CARBOPROP, CARBOLITE, CARBOECONOPROP and CARBOHYDROPROP.
