Description

Dolby Laboratories, Inc. designs and manufactures video and audio products for the film production, cinema, and television broadcast industries. Distributed in over 70 countries, these products are used in content creation, distribution, and playback to enhance image and sound quality and playback. The Company creates audio, video, and voice technologies that transform entertainment and communications at the cinema, at home, at work and on mobile devices. The Company derives majority of its revenues from licensing its audio technologies. The Company also provides products and services that enable entertainment content creators and distributors to produce, encode and transmit and playback content for optimal consumer experiences. The Company licenses its technologies in 48 countries, and its licensees distribute products with its technologies throughout the world. It sells its products and services in over 80 countries.
