Enersis SA (Enersis) is a Chile-based holding company that, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, is primarily engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric energy. The Company is the parent of Grupo Enersis, a group that comprises a number of entities active in the energy sector with operations established in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. In addition, the Company is involved in telecommunications activities and the provision of engineering consultancy services, as well as in the real estate sector, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Inmobiliaria Manso de Valasco Ltda. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had a total installed capacity of more than 14,000 megawatts (MW). The Company�s majority shareholder is Endesa Latinoamerica SA, with 60.62% of its interest.
