Description

Eagle Materials Inc. (EXP) is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of gypsum wallboard and the manufacture and sale of cement. The Company sells cement in four regional markets, including northern Nevada and California, the greater Chicago area, the Rocky Mountain region and Texas. EXP�s gypsum wallboard business is supported by its recycled paperboard business, while its cement business is supported by the Company�s concrete and aggregates business. It operates in four segments: Cement and Concrete and Aggregates, and Gypsum Wallboard and Recycled Paperboard. As of March 31, 2012, the Company operated four cement plants (one of which belongs to its joint venture, Texas Lehigh Cement Company LP), four gypsum wallboard plants, one recycled paperboard plant, nine concrete batching plants and two aggregates facilities.
