It holds the capital stock of, or has equity interests in, NextEra Energy 's operating subsidiaries, and provides funding for those subsidiaries. NextEra Energy is a clean energy company with approximately 43,000 megawatts of generating capacity. NextEra Energy�s principal subsidiaries include NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, a North American generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun, and Florida Power & Light Company, which serves approximately 4.5 million customer accounts in Florida and is a rate-regulated electric utilities in the United States.
