Description

Ferro Corporation (Ferro) is a producer of specialty materials and chemicals that are sold to a range of manufacturers who, in turn, make products for many end-use markets. It operates in six segments: Polymer Additives, Specialty Plastics, Pharmaceuticals, Performance Coatings, Electronic Materials and Color and Glass Performance Materials. During the year ended December 31, 2012, the Company operates approximately 40 facilities around the world that manufacture electronic, color and glass materials, which includes conductive metal pastes and powders, polishing materials, glazes, enamels, pigments, decoration colors, and other performance materials and polymer and ceramic engineered materials, which includes polymer additives, engineered plastic compounds, pigment dispersions, glazes, frits, porcelain enamel, pigments and pharmaceutical active ingredients.On February 6, 2013, it sold assets related to its solar pastes business to Heraeus Precious Metals North America Conshocken LLC.
