Description

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is an operator in the automotive retailing industry. The Company markets and sells a range of automotive products and services, including new and used cars and light trucks; arrange related vehicle financing; service and insurance contracts; provide automotive maintenance and repair services, and sell vehicle parts. The Company has three reportable segments: the U.S., which includes the activities of the Company's corporate office, the U.K. and Brazil. The Company owns and operates 151 automotive dealerships, 196 franchises, and 38 collision centers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Brazil that offer 32 brands of automobiles. The Company's operations are located in metropolitan areas in the states of Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas in the United States; the United Kingdom, and Brazil.
