Glimcher Realty Trust (GRT) is an integrated, self-administered and self-managed Maryland REIT which was formed on September 1, 1993 to continue the business of The Glimcher Company and its affiliates, of owning, leasing, acquiring, developing and operating a portfolio of retail properties consisting of regional and super regional malls, and community shopping centers. As of December 31, 2012, it owned material interests in and managed 28 Properties (23 wholly-owned and five partially owned through joint ventures) which are located in 15 states. The Properties contain an aggregate of approximately 21.5 million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA) of which approximately 95.2% was occupied at December 31, 2012. In May 2012, the Company acquired One Nineteen, an outdoor retail center located in Leawood, Kansas. In January 2013, the Company acquired University Park Village, an open-air center located in Fort Worth, Texas.
